Welcome to the Cabell County Clerk's Office Vital Records online ordering system. Requests will be processed Monday-Friday: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.
West Virginia laws only allow certain family members to obtain an actual certificate of these records, if they are 18 years of age or older. The list of family members, as outlined under West Virginia law are as follows:
Immediate Family Includes: mother or father, son or daughter, brother or sister, husband or wife, mother-in-law or father-in-law, son-in-law or daughter-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, stepmother, or stepfather, or stepchild.
Identification Requirements: A photo l.D. as required; examples include a state-issued l.D. or Driver's License. WE CANNOT PROCESS YOUR REQUEST WITHOUT A VALID FORM OF IDENTIFICATION UPLOADED.
REQUESTING A BIRTH, DEATH, OR MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE:
Birth Certificates
- A copy of your birth certificate is on file in our office only if you were born in Cabell County.
Death Certificates
- Certifled copies of death certificates can be obtained for individuals who passed away in Cabell County.
Marriage Certificates
- Certified Copies of your marriage license can be obtained if you applied in Cabell County.
An additional Non-Refundable $5 Service and Credit Card Processing Fee will be applied to all online ordels.
